Auto Retrofit is an Australian-based business supplying aftermarket automotive products, including electric tailgate kits and related vehicle upgrade solutions.

We operate Australia-wide and also ship to New Zealand.

Products

All products sold by Auto Retrofit are aftermarket automotive products designed for OEM-style fitment and plug-and-play installation where applicable.

Our products are:

Not genuine vehicle manufacturer parts
Not affiliated with, endorsed by, or authorised by any vehicle manufacturer
Designed for compatibility with selected vehicle models

We may expand our product range to include ambient lighting kits, dashcams, and head-up display upgrades.

Product Compatibility & Installation

Customers are responsible for ensuring product compatibility before purchase.

Professional installation is recommended but not mandatory
Some products may require basic mechanical knowledge, minor drilling, or wiring
Customers are responsible for installation outcomes
Damage caused by incorrect installation is not covered under warranty

*We may assist customers by referring them to third-party installation partners where available.

Orders

By placing an order, you confirm that:

You are authorised to use the selected payment method

We reserve the right to cancel or refuse orders where necessary, including suspected fraud, pricing errors, or stock issues.

Pricing & Payment

All prices are listed in AUD (Australian Dollars)
We accept Shopify Payments, PayPal, and Australian Bank Transfer
All payments are processed securely via third-party providers
We do not store full payment details

Shipping & Delivery

Shipping is governed by our Shipping Policy.

We offer:

Free standard shipping (Australia-wide & New Zealand)
Paid express shipping options

Orders are shipped via Australia Post and StarTrack depending on location and order type.

Returns, Exchanges & Refunds

Returns and exchanges are governed by our Returns & Warranty Policy.

Key points:

We do not offer refunds for change of mind
Exchanges may be offered within 7 days of delivery if items are unused and in original packaging
Faulty or incorrect items are eligible for replacement
We do not provide cash refunds for faulty items unless required under Australian Consumer Law

Return shipping for faulty items is covered by Auto Retrofit once approved.

Warranty

All products come with a 2-year limited warranty.

Warranty covers:

Manufacturing defects
Faulty components under normal use

Warranty does not cover:

Incorrect installation
Misuse or accidental damage
Normal wear and tear
Labour or installation costs

Installation Disclaimer

Our products are aftermarket automotive components designed for vehicle enhancement.

Installation is the customer’s responsibility
Professional installation is recommended
We are not responsible for damage caused by improper installation or misuse

Limitation of Liability
