1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing, using, or purchasing from Auto Retrofit (“we,” “us,” “our”), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service (“Terms”). If you do not agree, you must not use our services.

All transactions are conducted in Australian Dollars (AUD).

3. Services

We provide automotive parts, accessories, and vehicle retrofit/upgrade services, including but not limited to:

Electric tailgate systems
Infotainment and technology upgrades
Lighting and safety enhancements
Custom automotive modifications

All services are subject to availability and vehicle compatibility.

4. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old and legally capable of entering into a binding contract under Australian law.

5. Quotes, Orders, and Pricing

All quotes are estimates based on the information provided.
Prices are listed in AUD and may include GST unless otherwise stated.
Final pricing may vary if additional work, parts, or labour is required.
We reserve the right to refuse or cancel any order at our discretion.

6. Payments

Full or partial payment may be required before work begins.
We accept payment methods as specified at checkout or in-store.
Orders will not be processed until payment is received and cleared.

7. Shipping and Delivery (Parts Only)

Delivery times are estimates and may vary.
We are not liable for delays caused by couriers or external factors.
Risk of loss passes to the customer upon dispatch unless required otherwise by law.

8. Installation and Appointments

Installations are by appointment only.
Customers must provide accurate vehicle details.
Vehicles must be presented in a clean and safe condition.
Delays may occur if undisclosed issues are discovered.

9. Cancellations and Refunds

Appointment cancellations require at least 24 hours’ notice.
Deposits may be non-refundable where stated.
Refunds for products and services are provided in accordance with the Australian Consumer Law (ACL).

10. Consumer Guarantees (Australia)

Nothing in these Terms excludes, restricts, or modifies your rights under the Australian Consumer Law.

You are entitled to:

A replacement or refund for a major failure
Compensation for any other reasonably foreseeable loss or damage
Repairs or replacements if goods fail to be of acceptable quality

11. Warranty

Installation workmanship is covered for a period of [12 months] unless otherwise specified.
Manufacturer warranties apply to parts where available.
Warranty does not cover:
- Normal wear and tear
- Misuse, neglect, or improper installation by third parties
- Unauthorized modifications

12. Customer Responsibilities

You agree to:

Provide accurate and complete information
Disclose any prior modifications or faults
Remove personal belongings from your vehicle
Ensure your vehicle complies with roadworthiness requirements unless otherwise agreed

We are not responsible for pre-existing faults or undisclosed issues.

13. Compatibility and Legal Compliance

Not all products are compatible with every vehicle.
Some modifications may not be legal for road use in all Australian states or territories.
It is your responsibility to ensure compliance with local laws and regulations.

14. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law:

We are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages
Our total liability is limited to the amount paid for the relevant product or service
We are not responsible for delays beyond our control
We are not liable for any damages by wrong use of products

15. Vehicle Storage and Collection

Vehicles must be collected promptly after completion.
Storage fees may apply after [3 days] of notice.
Uncollected vehicles may be treated as abandoned in accordance with Victorian law.
